About Sophie Mepham
I currently work in the clinical trials and research sector in Australia but have extensive trial experience within the UK, Singapore and Australia. Since completing my PhD in Immuno-Oncology in 2001, I have worked in multiple clinical trials roles, including Data Manager and Clinical Trial Assistant (NHS), Clinical Research Coordinator (NHS), Assistant Research Manager (NHS), Clinical Trial Unit manager (Peter Mac), National Research Manager for oncology provider GenesisCare and my current role as Global Executive Manager for Research with oncology provider Icon Group.

I received GCP facilitator training with the National Institute of Health Research (UK) in 2010 and have subsequently taught GCP to staff at hospitals, academic research institutions and public and private research institutes. I have extensive experience in GCP-compliance audits and inspections and managing GCP non-compliance issues and CAPAs post audit and inspection. I successfully led an MHRA GCP compliance inspection in the UK in 2011 and continue to manage multiple FDA and sponsor audits in Australia as part of my role as Executive Research Manager with Icon Group.
I am an accedited Q-IAOCR Clinical Research Trainer and I have a Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
